Paris-Le Bourget - 18th to 24th June 2007
The 47th International Lounge(Show) of the Aeronautics and the Space was the opportunity to celebrate the 80th birthday of the arrival of Lindbergh at Le Bourget on May 21st, 1927 at 10.22 pm.
Consisted of 361 units of chalets on a surface of 128 000 m² of covered exhibition (halls, village, chalets, outer (foreign) buildings(ships)) and 192 000 m² with static exhibition to welcome 2000 exhibitors coming from 42 countries among which Australia, Lithuania, Libya, Mexico and Tunisia which participated for the first time at this demonstration.
It was the opportunity to admire 140 present aircrafts among which more than 40 demonstrations in fligh. A very professional show which combined 150 official Defense delegations comings of 60 countries, two European Commissioners, 40 Transport civil aviation delegations comings of 20 countries, more than 3 500 journalists and about 154 000 professional visitors.
This edition(publishing), inaugurated by Mr. François Fillon, Prime Minister, beat a new record with more than 153,920 trade visitors, i.e. 12% more than 2005.
There was strong demand from prime contractors and SMEs for the Show’s new B2B meetings service with 5,000 trade visitors taking part in more than 6,000 meetings and talks on each of the business and technology forum’s three days.
It was the occasion for UUDS to present and promote its ECOSHINE promotion, recently marketed.
The Show clearly remains popular with the general public as 160,000 visitors flocked to Le Bourget airfield during the three days open to the public. Louis Le Portz expressed his satisfaction that the Paris Air Show “is still a celebration of aerospace, offering members of the public the opportunity to see the latest emblematic models on display and in flight.”
The Paris Air Show attracts the most visitors worldwide in all categories, as indicated by the record number of trade visitors this year.
The organizers look forward to welcoming all visitors back to Le Bourget in 2009, to celebrate the International Paris Air Show’s centenary, whose first edition had been held in 1909 at the Grand Palais in Paris.
